We used to drink cranberry juice to stop urinary track infections but now they put so much sugar in the drinks that it does on help.

Only one brand is sugar free.

And it has sugar substitute which is worse on my mind and body.

That is in my local grocery store. Yours may differ.

I used to have this problem. Just for the record. I hate beer. I really hate the taste of beer.

For Adults, if the cranberry does not work, Chug a beer three nights in a row, it can be light beer, just before you go to bed.

It needs to sit in your bladder all night.

It took me about three series of this and I have not had an infection in years. I used to have one very month or so.

I have read things about Flora and PH levels. IDK. I just know it worked for me.

Not suggested for young people or people under weight or allergic to the ingredients in beer. Not for people who have addictive personalities or under medication. Use with caution and discuss with Doctor first.

It tastes terrible, but it worked and I have not drank a beer since. I hope you never have to.

Try the Cranberry Extract first. They did not have it when I did the beer.

Only cranberry juice and it is not as potent, so I am sure, this has got to work better!

In infants with recurring urinary tract infections, cranberry extract could be an effective first line of treatment, helping to reduce the use of antibiotics.

This research, published in Anales de Pediatría (Annals of Pediatrics), was a collaboration between researchers from the universities of Granada (Spain) and Kvopio (Finland)

It involved 85 children under one year of age and 107 over 1 year old, all of them affected by a recurrent urinary infection. 75 children were administered cranberry extract, while the other 117 were administered trimethoprim, a bacteriostatic antibiotic derived from trimethoxybenzyl pyrimidine, used almost exclusively to treat urinary infections.

» The usual treatment is a prescription of antibiotics. But a team of German and Finnish researchers have shown that cranberry extract, usually given to adults, can also be effective.

» When compared to the conventional antibiotic trimethoprim, cranberry extract was at least as effective, an in some cases more so, and did not carry with it the risk of antibiotic resistance.
